    Crf250r 2004 versions

    by Gurfin888 » Wed Sep 22, 2021 4:59 am

Hello everyone! I was going to order some parts from partzilla to my crf250r from 2004. But I noticed that there were an A version and an A-A version. What is the difference and how do I know which one I have? I live in Sweden if thats any help. Partzilla adviced me to check with a dealership what version I have using my VIN. But they didn’t even know what the A and A-A version was. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

As far as I know , it is when parts are superseded , in other words , either the part # was changed on some parts , or they made a change to the part that reflects the next year model which may have a better design , but the part should fit either .... there is no real bolt on or functionality issues using either .... but generally , I just choose parts from the first one (single A) , but there should be a asterisk ( * ) on the part # and below the list it should give a explanation as to the change if any ..

    Example:

I highlighted in yellow the part with the *

    Explanation highlighted

    Hope that helped ;)

It will be on the OEM Parts Fiche ... so not sure what Partzilla is using , but most all retailers or distributors use the OEM fiche

    Here is the A:
    https://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.co ... 250R-A4-A)

    Here is the A/A:
    https://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.co ... 0R-A4-A/A)

As my example above in the prior post shows for the Crankcase Cover , there is a asterisk , also in several other places depending on the particular parts page you are looking at
