Is it necessary to drain the oil to check timing? Almost certain mine is a tooth off, kicks like a ‘60s Harley. Also anyone have torque specs on cam holder bolts and valve cover bolts? Thank you.

Well have my answer on the oil but doesn’t matter as I dropped the cam bearing holder half ring down the chain area. I’m screwed.

Welcome to the site !!
And no you do not .... and that sucks ....... if it is steel , or there is any steel on it , you could stick a magnet down there .... hopefully it is stuck between the timing chain so you could get one of those Claw grabbers and try to fish it out from the top , , you can get them at Harbor Freight , or about any Hardware , or Wal-Mart

Got bearings holder out, out everything back together and that was the problem. Timing one tooth off making it hard as can be to kick over though running fine. Now it kicks over just kike my KX450F and starts right up runs great. Thanks so much for the help!
