Got a 2008 crf250r where the previous owner broken the compression screw in one og the fork legs.
Is it possibe to strip the valve bolt assy from a 2006 crf250r
and use The "top nut" to rebuild my 2008 fork leg??

I have not looked at the 06 and 08 next to each other , but i am pretty sure you can swap them out with no issues , however you will have to use the valve stack from the 08 in the 06 cap assembly as the valving stack (amount and size shims)itself will be different

Yes they look very similar.
Is there any good writeup anywere on how you dissasemble and assemble the valveunit to be able to use the 08 valve stack?

Just for info.
Is the fork leg cap/ bolt assy from the CRF450R 2006 the same as a crf250r if i replace the valves with the one in the 250r bolt assy??
They look similar and i found one for the correct money on ebay.

It should be , but the valving will be different
If you put your valving on it , and the Pressure Spring , then you should be fine

Now it is fixed.
you ned a special tool to remove the top nut but luckely the local dirtbike shop was kind enough to help with that part. Othewise a quite easy job.
