Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and hope that I can add value as well as get some help when needed.

I recently bought a 2005 Honda CRF 250R. The bike is super clean and from just looking at the bike you can see that the bike was never abused.

However I bought the bike over the internet and had it couriered to me. The only issue known to the owner was that it battled to start when cold and hot.

So the bike arrived and I had the valve clearances done as well as new tyres and carb service.

Well, obviously the valve clearances aren't the only problem as the bike has a noise on the main bearing and smokes. So it seems I have been taken for a ride.

I am going to do a top and bottom end rebuild on the bike. I will start dismantling the motor this afternoon. Will post pictures as I go along. I have a shop manual.

Hopefully this post will help other people and also I can get some tips along the way.

Cheers

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

Plenty of good info and people here to help you thru any issues you might have

And yes , sometimes Internet buys are not the deals they seem to be , some people just will not disclose all info OR sometimes they just don't know enough but are being honest as to what they do know , but with any used bike , there are always issues , and its rare to get one that needs nothing , and common to find one that needs a lot , that is why its best to find local bikes or buy in person , so you can at least somewhat look them over to get a idea of what your up against

Any info you want to share here is welcome , weather your asking for the info or supplying it !! ;)
