Hi.
I am a bit of a mechanical novice and I need an answer. My bike cut out while riding up a hill fortunately close to the car. I got it home and checked the usuals and found a faulty kill switch. I have replaced that but it still won't start. I have taken the spark plug out and tested it by using a clip to wire the spark plug thread to the bike earth and giving it a kick and can't see a spark even with the lights out. I have tried my old plug and a new plug I bought. I have removed the stick coil from its lead that goes to the CDI and tested the voltage coming out from the lead (is that a good thing to do?) and it barely registers (.2v). This points me at a faulty CDI. Can someone tell me if that is a logical conclusion. Thanks. Simon
