    Clutch worn out??

    by yosteff » Wed Mar 26, 2014 5:13 pm

    I have a 2007 250R
After a day trail riding and pit bashing i found out that my clutch lever needed to be all the way up to engage.
I was thinking that my clutch was worn out and put a new replacement from the dealer . But it's still doing the same thing!

    Can the cable is stretched?
Can something else can be worn out instead of the clutch plate?
    Something broken?

    need help please

yes, the cable can stretch and the cable can be out of adjustment. replace it. but also, if the fingers of the basket had any notches you need to replace the basket.

Most likely the cable, but if the springs are worn (they get longer when going bad) they put less pressure on the clutch plates, so you lose adjustment.
