    HELP

    by Spcwhite » Tue Feb 19, 2013 6:14 am

I have a 2005 crf250r. I was having and i still am having very bad problems. I just had my valves replaced. I took my bike out for half of a day it just dyed as if my shims were bad. I have no clue on how to fix this issue so anything would help. I did take it to a shop to get replaced and this is what happened. i don't know if its the shop fault, because they have never gone out so fast. please help me with this issue.

welcome to CRF's Only. are the valve clearances known good? check and verify and report back. also, if you just had a shop do the work, you should work with them to make it right.

"put a valve in the wrong way" hummm....frankly that is very hard to do. ;) now they are going to put in a new seat? hopefully they have the necessary expertise and equipment to replace a valve seat correctly. also, valve seats should be replaced in pairs if they are changing the material or the amount of material is significantly differnt in size.

They are replacing all my valves and valve seats for free because they did it wrong. Now i just have to wait and see if they are going to do it right this time. They said that they have all the tools to do it. So i guess we will find out.
