hello,

I have two questions regarding oil. I own a CRF250R 2004. I had to replace and repair almost all the motor, do I have to change the oil after the first use?

Can the transmission oil be the same as the engine oil? I think the manual says it has to be the same, but I've seen that there is a transmission specific oil which has very different W values.

For break in us an organic oil that meets Honda's specs. Same with the transmission. We use Rotella T on both sides. Synthetic (after breakin) on the engine side and organic on the trans side. We've also used Delo400 organic on the trans size. These not are oil recommendations just mentioning what we have used successfully. Follow Honda's oil recommendations or do your research and only use oils you are comfortable with.
