    lowering the CRF250R

    hi, i was wondering if any1 could help me out. i'm looking to lower my 2007 250r, as being female and not overly tall i am finding it a little hard to touch the ground! :oops: i was looking at the kouba lowering link, but as i am from australia,was wondering if the one on this site would fit my bike?? are there any difference in models between the different countries? they are just so expensive to buy over here!! thanx 4 ur help :D

    Yes they will fit your bike. There are subtle differences in Australian vs American bikes, but they are usually jetting, spares kit, tires, or emissions related. The suspensions are the same.

    The CRF3 should lower the bike approx 4.5cm.

    Hi,

    The Kouba link works well I have used one on my 06CRF250R. You will also need to slide the forks up about an inch. Only thing is u might get a bit of head shake. I sometimes take it off as it works well on some tracks and not others.

    There are 2 that will fit the CRF250.

    Also make sure the sag is set correctly. If you don't get the correct sag you might need softer springs. The CRF is designed for a 75kg rider.

    Also if you can change the inner chamber fork oil from 5wt to 2.5wt, makes the front more plush.

    I came across a website called

    www.speedmetaldesigns.com which sells a subframe lowering kit.

    also you can cut the seat foam by one inch.
