    250 R slight bogging

    by joffs » Mon Mar 24, 2008 11:54 pm

I have a 07 250R I have just had the 1st service and have fitted a Quick shot 2,however it still has a slight bogging problem.

I am at an altitude of 6000feet,I am thinking it could be the system is too rich at the take off from closed throttle as the instructions tell me to adjust the screw out to make it richer, but it might need to be leaner .
Please could any one advise me ?
I am a newbie used to ride a KTM200EXC, however love the Honda and this site having been browsing it since I bought the Bike.

I'd try re-jetting it for sure... 6000' with stock jetting, i'm suprised the bike actually starts! Maybe try a 158 main, 42 pilot, and nvcs clip #3 then see what happens?

    Thanks ThumperX

I had a DID and re jetted on a dyno and the Bike goes like a Bat out of hell, however I will take your suggestion and perhaps get them to look at it again.
