    Hard starting after crash

    by erer » Mon Mar 24, 2008 12:46 pm

    Hello,
I'm new to your forum but not to the CRF250's
    This forum seems very interesting!
I have an '08 CRF250R. The bike runs great. Starts fine hot or cold but will not start after a crash or tip over! The hot start has little or no effect. The only way I've found to get it refired is to turn the gas off, lay the bike over to drain out the carb and then use the hot start. It will than refire in 2-3 kicks. The valves are spot on! I have owned an '04 and '06 and never had this much trouble with it starting after a crash!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

well just dont fall, jk jk. um everytime i lay mine over and it smells like gas (flooded) i was told to hold the throttle wide open, thats always seemed to help me numerous times. If thats not your problem then idk.
