I purchased a almost new stock cam take off and was told that it fits 04-06 models. I have a damaged cam that needs replacing and found a person with a replacement. I do not see any casting ID numbers for reference. They look identical but not sure as to what fits/works.

Any CRF 250 cam will fit any CRF 250. X or R.

The 04/06 R cam has the most radical grind.

The 05 R cam is the most mellow.
