    CRF 250r vs Crf 450r

    by ttaylor » Sun Dec 23, 2007 4:08 pm

I have been riding about a year at the MX track and some enduro riding. I currently have a CRF 230 (modified), I am 45 years old and I am 6'2 about 240. I would classify myself as a pretty conservative rider. I am having a difficult time deciding on a 250 vs 450. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

    Merry Xmas to all!

 Don't get a 250 my friend I'm 6'4 210 and raced 250's and 450's and I think if the CRF250 I raced could talk it would not be to happy to have had to haul my rear around the track, If your just out for some good old trail riding I would still stick with the 450, A LOT less shifting! I can race most tracks in 2 and third gear, nothing else, the 250F... I use them all except 1st. I broke my subframe off in practice a few years back and had to go out and race a crf250 in the open class against 450's, it was not pretty... Smaller guys can ride either bike and be fast as hell, the bigger guys like us just can't do it. You'll be happy you got a foooofitty~!!!!!
    I don't ride dirty I ride canadian...
