Adjusting valves on my 04 crf250r

    by realslow » Sun Nov 04, 2007 12:36 pm

I recently tried to shim my valves for the first time. One of the intake valves already had a 120 shim in it and there was zero valve clearance. My shim kit only goes down to 120. What do I do now? do i need to replace the valves/head? Is there a fix for this that is more permanent than stock?

    Yep,

you are out of shimming room.

    Time for new valves.

CRF'sONLY has the FactionMX intake kit which changes them to Stainless steel intakes.

    http://www.crfsonly.com/catalog/product ... ts_id/2537

    It's $ 166.20 plus 4 OEM Valve seals plus a head gasket.

You will need to have your valve seats recut as well.

BTW - Welcome to the site!!!
