06 valve maitnence

i just bought a used 06 250 and it was raced for a year by a pro level racer and it has a pr2 race head but i am more of a pit rider i was just wondering how often i should check my valves and if they need replacing should i run ss, thanx

i say ss bec if they whack up a tiny bit you can just lap em u cant lap titianim valves

I would check the valve clearance, just the same with stock, whenever the bike gets hard to start. As far as replacing the valves themselves, I would contact pr2 and talk to them. They would know best since it is their modded head.
Don't forget, PR2 recommends running Marvel Mystery oil with the gas to help lube the valves!!

I would buy a new head and install SS valves and then swap when current head dies. Thats what I do for my son's bike (125 jr)
