    FactionMX intake kit

My intake valves are going, with one seemingly unable to shim off the cam. The exhaust side seems to be holding up well. I was wondering if anyone has some experience/opinion with this kit that they would like to share with me before going this route?

Also I heard that the exhaust side are steel valves. Is this true? Bike is an '04 250r

    Jump in with both feet!!!

We are running them in our 250X right now, and have done several conversions for other guys. One was a 2004 CRF 250R.

The stock exhausts are steel and don't need replacement nearly as often. Should be removed and inspected for condition and the valve stem seals replaced.

Thanks for the advice Smith. I think I'll contact mxtime for the head work. Not really comfortable overhauling it myself.

Did you do the valve seats as well? Is it necessary?

Yep, as Doug said seats are Necessary as are having the valve guides checked for wear. They should be less than 5.05mm, over that they need to be changed as well.
