    Dunlop 756 front tire?

    by AUKwrestle250 » Sun Sep 23, 2007 7:57 pm

Hey guys. I'm running the stock tire set-up for my '07 CRF250R and was thinking about switching the front tire. The rear is a Dunlop 756 and the front is a 742 (i think). Would switching to a 756 in the front help with front end traction at all? I ride anything from clay that's almost rock hard to sandy, loamy, soft and muddy dirt. At the local MX track, ive had issues with the front end washing out in really sofy corners. any other uggestions would be awesome too! thanks.

Hi ... i have a 07 450 and i use the Dunlop 756 race replica on my front and rear. i must say that the 756 RR is superior to anything that i have used and would recomend it highly . please feel free to write with any questions :D

Definately dump the 742. I used a 756 on the front of my 450X and loved it. Grips well and wears pretty well. I recently switched to a Maxxis Desert IT and don't like it as well.

thanks guys! ive been debating about tires for a few weeks now and i must say i am pretty relieved to have made a decision (well almost) honda7, how well does the RR hold up? ive heard that they last like 2 motos and are shot. i would be interested to hear your opinion. i am sure that they are GREAT tires, however, for the price, i would have to have some pretty substantial evidence pointing me in the RR direction instead of the regular 756. thanks!

I put the 739F (4-stroke tire, softer compound) on my 250 and loved it. Compared to the stock tire, I had so much more confidence in the front end. Felt it was a good choice for hard-surface track conditions, and when the track was groomed and wet-down, it was great as well.

A lot really depends on your skill level
756's are great, but we (faster half of Junior mob) gave up on 756's cuz they're junk after a weekend of racing (usually 8 motos).
    Practice Maxxis IT.
Race: Kendas rear, Mich S12 front
Also 739's are great for blue-groove

    Dunlop D952

    by fbr » Fri Oct 05, 2007 4:58 am

I recommend the Dunlop D952 Multi-Terrain Off Road tire. That is what I use on my CRF450R for everything from motocross track to Rubicon jeep trail. ("Dunlop proudly introduces the D952, a new tire for budget-minded off-road riders looking for greater durability without sacrificing performance.")
