Hey i was wondering when i start racing will i be able to choose my own numbers? or will they give me my race numbers? (PS i was racing #78 )

Unless you had numbers from the previous year, they will assign them to you. I personally knew one of my district officers, and he gave me the number I wanted.

It depends on who is sanctioning the district. Some outlaw and non ama numbers will let you choose a few different numbers, and if they are not taken, it's yours.
Ask whatever sanctioning body you are wanting to join.
