Clutch Cable wearing out!

Well actually it snapped! i noticed about a week ago that the clutch cable was frieghed so i rang honda got in a new one. But what i wanted to know is it normal for the clutch cable to wear out around the lever area?

well the bike is less than a yr old got about 100 hrs on it i was very suprised when i noticed it wearing but puttin the new one on today of to ride for the after noon, hopfully in the rain. haven't seen rain round here for a long time :D

My son's started to fray at about 100 hours:
Riding style/type probably effects longevity.

100 hrs is alot for a cable. Even if you lube it before every ride. I'd say you got your $$ worth.

Man a new cable should feel like butter!

Okays thanks just wondering what peoples opninions were on it i put the new cable in today woah its better than it was when i was stock so soft really gud to ride only able to ride for 15 mins then had to replace the brakes (front and back) its so much easier takin it to the honda fella's

Replacing the brakes are easy. I'm sure you can figure it out. Taking it to the dealer every time will make you go poor real fast. Any questions on replacing pads just ask away1 There is a lot of helpful peeps on here

its all good my dad decided to take the bike to get a full service by honda. If me mum and dad are happy taking it to the dealers every now and then i am fine with that. atleast that way they can make sure that any stuff i do to it its all good :) got them to put some new tires on aswells i hate changing tires! anyways it was a good time because this afternoon i came home to ride and its been rainin here for a couple of days now and makes riding with me mates alot more fun in the pooring rain and mud!
