aattitude...welcome to crf's only. the 06 and 07 don't have the same carb. it's still a 40mm but it's got the revised ACP. as a result it doesn't suffer as much from ACP bog off idle or after hard landings. however, it's still believed by Tom Morgan that the 40mm carb is too large for the displacement of this motor. the solution in '06 still applies for the '07...which is to reduce this with a sleeve. the wb carb kit for the '07 has the sleeve and a leak jet to level out any ACP issues. the other solution would be to use the JD Jetting kit. both will provide excellent results. where to start? the JD Jetting kit is less expensive and since that was a concern i would recommend starting there. we offer both products in our catalog.

    good luck...ken

I just installed the WB carb kit for my 06. It works great. I would highly recommend it. Make sure you get the full directions that includes the part about wire tieing the two cams together, I didn't the first time and didn't see any extreme results. I called Tom Morgan and he said the early directions did not include that info. He e-mailed me the correct ones. Buy it, it really works.

    Cams wired together?

How does that work. The instructions aren't really clear here.....

It's obvious that the black plastic cam that drives the AP rod is one of them, but which is the other? Is that the metal "tab" wthe the spring and screw?

How do you set "zero clearance"? Is that with the screw turned out just enough to touch the black cam with throttle open?

    Tough to visualize.....
