ok got everything back together spot on, and it still wont start. can somebody help me out with some jetting specs, or link me to them, i didnt see exactly what i had on here anywere, i did look. i have a hot cams stage 2 cam, 13.5:1 piston, and full aluminum pro white bros with all stock jetting. i messed with the pilot screw, and got it to start once, but no more after that. elevation is between 250 and 350ft and the temp is anywere between 85-100 when i ride. i looked through my service manual and it says "without mods" also when i push start and do get it going, the off idle is horrible and will even make it die sometimes. if i take it up slow in neutral it will rev to the cieling no problem, if i was a tooth off it would stutter all over the place right?

With all that custom stuff you might want to call JD jetting. They are very helpful.

No. Being off a tooth will cause hard starting (or no starting) but it will run very well in higher RPMs. Idle and off idle will be rough at best.

Your timing is probably advanced one tooth.

If you are running the stock jetting, your set up is probably:

    Main 172
    Pilot 40
    Needle NHFS @ clip #3
    Fuel screw @ 1 3/4

alrighty, i think i might have been a tooth off. everything seems ok now, just needs some fine tuning i would say. i got it to kick start a couple times, but im off to work now, ill play with it tonight. i will be back to let you know how it comes out. it seems like the more i play with that pilot screw on the bottom the better it is getting now. i think with the 13.5 piston it makes it a little harder to start to.
