    CR85 Clutch help

    by krisrtch » Tue Mar 15, 2011 3:57 pm

Thanks to Ken I got my sons new pressure plate but after install I have to spring tension in the clutch lever. DO you tighten the bolts that hold the springs in all the way down or leave a space for compression. I'm working on getting a service manual just don't have one at the moment. any help would be great.

i dont have the cr85 nor have i worked on one, but if the clutch is anything like other dirt bikes then yes, you should tighten down each bolt which hold the clutch springs down to the specified torque...

Thanks for all the help getting it here. Just wish I wasn't having brain farts putting it in. First I for got the washer behind the pressure plate then I realized after changing out the shift shaft I left the washer on the housing and have now doubled up on the washers behind the spring. and all my tools I need to do that job to re disassemble are at work. Grr.
