did this once before, takes about 30 minutes. biggest thing is don't mess up the seals, and if you are replacing the inner shaft bearing you need a puller. Seals and bearings call for a tool, but if your careful and have the right sockets you can use them instead.
torque values:
water pump impeller 7 lbf-ft
coolant drain bolt 6.5 lbf-ft
remove pump
remove left crankcase cover
use tool to hold flywheel to remove impeller - tool is 07725-030000 (or make something)
remove right crankcase cover
remove water pump shaft from right cover
this will expose water seal and oil seal (replace if needed)
water pump shaft bearings are in the right cover and crankcase
if you need to change the bearing on the right crankcase side, they call for a 7 mm bearing remover (07931-KA30000) but I used a tool from NAPA
to replace seals:
remove pump shaft bearing from right cover
drive out water and oil seals together
coat outside surface of new water seal with trans oil and grease seal lip
drive in new water seal (calls for tool 07965-415000A) but a socket works
coat outside of new oil seal with trans oil and grease the seal lip
install oil seal into crankcase cover
drive new water pump shaft hearing into cover
install water pump shaft into crankcase cover
install right crankcase cover
install new copper washer onto pump shaft
hold flywheel using special too and install impeller
install pump cover/gasket
hope that helps.
