    Building a CR 500

    I am looking for some advice on the best year of CR 500 motor to use in building a CR 500AF. I have an '04 CRF roller that is ready for the motor. Anybody have experience with a CR500 that can help with motor recommendations? TIA

    Sounds like a large under taking. I know that the one service Honda makes has to have some frame changes to accept the motor and exhaust.

    As to any help I can't help you out there.

    Seems over whelming to me as well. But a local shop owner builds them and races them and he offered to build it for me if I can get together the needed items. I know there were some motors that had clutch problems so I would like to avoid them if possible.
