Just ordered my Vapor,
1. What tire size value did you use to set up your speedo?
2. What values did you use for the RPM shift and warning idiot lights?
3. What are good values to use for the water temp. warning and danger values?

For setting up the tire size... take a piece of chalk and make a mark on the rubber near the ground. Make another mark on the ground at this point... roll the bike forward until the mark rotates a full circle and then mark the ground at this point. Measure the distance between the two marks and use the formula provided in the kit to calculate your actual wheel size. This method is the most precise and takes into consideration different tire profiles etc.
Or you could do what 99% of the population does and use the pre-set that comes with the computer...

I was looking for the easy answer...I didn't wanna measure this and mark that.
However, if the preset is close, I could probably live with that.

if you do the measuring way, wont it become less accurate over time due to the tire wearing away?

I suppose if you see visible wear then your just going to have to measure again...
Like I said, most people just use the stock setting. When I first calculated it, I was off by about 3 metres per kilometer... not including tire wear. And nothing in my life needs to be that close of a measurement...

If I remember right the marking thing isn't that hard. Only takes a few minutes

I have had the Vapor on mine for a year or so ... works great.

Stock tire setting was good enough for me.
9000 yellow flash and 11000 red light
180 yellow and 200 red for water temp (but I found that tight riding on hot days the bike often is around 200, so I changed to 200 yellow and 220 red).

btw, used a reflector bracket of a kid's bike to mount it: worked great.

I just purchased the same computer for my 250X the values that you give for temperature warning and shift warning points sound right. Does anyone know what numbers to use for Pulses per Revolution and Pulse settings.
