Pink Wire on a Switch while running ??

Has anyone here put the Pink Wire on a switch ?, and if so , have u tried the switch while riding ??, is it safe to switch it from Enabled/Disabled while u are riding or do u have to shut the bike off to avoid any electrical damage to the Stator or CDI ???, i have searched every article i could find , and none of the topics address this issue as far as i have found!
I am planning on putting it on a switch, but weather it can be used while the bike is running or not , will determine the placement of the switch .
Example:
If im ripping around and get to a tight area where extreme smoothness is needed and switch it on , is it safe to do this at anytime ,or will i have to stop the bike(from moving) and/or, shut it down to make the change ???? , or just switch it while riding with no ill effects ??????

did the switch thing and yes you can switch it on the fly ,ended up removing the switch though and just left the pink wire unhooked .
The problem was after a few weeks the vibrations from the bike made the switch have funky electrical resistance and was causing some ignition breakup .
just either leave it installed or not installed , the benefit of being able to switch it on and off was negligable and the switch just ended up being in the unhooked position all the time anyway !

Thank You for the info!!
I still might try it though , and maybe isolate the switch in a rubber mount and see if it works .
I had thought about leaving it unhooked, but i would like to have the ability to switch it , just because some of the trails i ride are pretty serious, either do or die type riding, and the smoothness that the wire allows , would be nessarry on a few of them , and the switch would be easier than trying to unhook the wire every time it is needed
At least i now know that it can be switched while riding , and that puts me at ease ,and without fear of frying somthing expensive !!
Thanks again for the help !!!

When removing the pink wire, it helps to separate the two halves of the natural-colored coupler. Then, use a paper clip or small probe to reach inside the half with the pink wire and release the small strip of metal which locks the pink wire end-pin in place. The pink wire and end-pin will then slip out of the coupler. Re-insert the pink wire into the adjacent empty slot so it doesn't just dangle in the breeze.

Great pix above on mod... I think it makes it snappier !!!
they say it gives you 500 more on top but, you don't need that...
So will the step one air box cut be worth it ???
or not worth cleaning the filter more often??

It's actually a system. Just doing one or two of the mods won't work all that well. You need to do most of it, if not all.
Cut the airbox, remove backfire screen, get a high flow filter like Uni or Twin Air (better to go with the Twin Air Powerflo filter because it has a fire retardant layer.), do a bafflectomy or remove it all together, jet correctly, o-ring mod, and get an easier to adjust fuel screw. Do all that and grin.
