Took my suspension to local bike shop that has good reputation for revalving and setting up suspensions. The shop changed out fork springs to heavier race tech springs and revalved front and back suspension. Rear spring was good for my weight. Set clickers to middle position.
Took my bike out and road a single track with varing terrain. The front end washed out on me a time or two and the back was bouncing me around some. I lightened up the dampeners in the front all the way out and adjusted the fast and slow dampeners softer on the rear. Loamy areas and hard pack areas handled very well after adjustment. In the rocky (very rocky) areas it beat me up and front end was all over the place.
Over all the suspension seams significantly stiffer and does not handle the rocky areas well. My buddy on his 98 XR400 was flying through the rocky areas. I am a little frustrated after spending a good chunk of change on my revalve and respring.
Any ideas on how to get suspension to handle rocky areas better?
Thanks in advance!
