    Frosty Forks...

    by Simpleman111 » Tue Mar 09, 2010 12:07 pm

So, I just changed my left fork's seal to my crf 250r in summer coz of leaking, and now in winter my both forks are leaking. :?
I think the frost wear them and the dust seal is letting the frost to the oil seal.

If there's any Enduro or wintermx riders could you help me? Do you have any ideas how to cover my forks getting frosty in winter. Or is there possible way to cover them from frost?

I hate leaking forks SOOO much!

Edit: Does it help to avoid leaks if i release pressure in forks after every ride??(usually i release them after about 5 rides or so...)

    ty..!

Releasing air pressure will not affect the seals as much as it will improve the ride characteristics...much less harsh.

Use Seal Savers on your forks and that will keep everything out of your seals. They are available in short lengths just covering the seal area or long lengths to protect the tubes as well.
