    Forks first 1/4 of travel

What is the best way to get the first 6" of travel to soften up? What controls this?

Thanks for the reply. Adjusting the compression will effect the entire stroke, correct?

Factory Connection makes lighter pressure springs, which help greatly in the initial travel of the fork.

Those look interesting. Anyone have experience with these?

Yes, I give them a big \:D/ FC does a great job with my suspensions. The light pressure springs are a recommended upgrade to a revalve. On my 06 CRF250R and 08 CRF450R, I noticed a lot softer initial travel. If my memory serves me correctly, :-k :/ , my stock 250 pressure springs go in my 450 and they put softer ones into my 250.

1.6 is what you want. I remember seeing that windham runs the 1.72 ones

The stock is like 2.1 in the 450 and 1.9 in the 250f

I run the 1.6s and really like them. We ride a lot of tracks like washougal and that is a rough track later in the day! Really helps there

Are you running the factory oil level with these springs, or do you add oil?

I took out 10cc of oil in each fork leg and that helped soften the forks.
