The blue bit on the damping rod from the front fork leg on my CRF 450 08.

I have had a look at a crf250 rod and this piece is half the thickness on the 250.

It is the base plate for the compression stack on the mid valve.

It is actually the mid-valve base plate. It provides a surface for spring tension and also when the valve is fully open it stops the shims.

Please help. What is this for?
