I was planning on spending the $500.00 on them in the next month. Anyone else have them? Are they worth it? I'mm 33 I ride at AM level, on supercross tracks. Should I stay stock and get the oils changed, or go Racetech? Shawn

I really haven't heard anthing good about them the stock showa stuff seems to be the prefered choice of most respected tuners have you considered just revalving the stock stuff? or send it to someone like rg3,factory connection or precision concepts just to name a few

...my 450CRF (05) was HELL on my arms when stock. I could only get 3 good laps before my arms pumped up so much I would have to stop...it's hard to improve when you can only ride 3 laps at a time. I got RaceTech's Gold Valve, which comes with instructions on a CD...if there's anyway you can learn to service your forks yourself, you'll save a ton of money ( has anyone else noticed that shops and service departments ALWAYS rip you off?). Anyhow, with the GoldValve and ProTaper handlebars ( they "flex" a little), now I get to ride until I'm tired all over ( 20 laps). Good luck!

you will hear no argument that suspension work is the best spent money on your bike I just belive the same or better results can be had with the stock pistons and you can buy videos from several different sources to learn how to do this stuff ( it's actually really easy the hardest part is figuring out what stack to build) and then the beauty is if you don't like the way it turns out you can just go in and change your setup and all it costs is the price of fluids and nitrogen to fill the shock there is also a pretty good 23 page thread going over at thumper talk in the 450R forum thats pinned at the top of the page

$500? they are actually $151 in our catalog.

you can install these yourself if you have some mechanical ability. they include instructional video as well we offer a DVD that is very detailed.

by the time you add springs fluids and stuff 500 is probably pretty close

500 is pretty close if the fluid costs 200. Otherwise you will be closer to 280.
