The forks are easy enough without the correct tools, the shock is not.

    You betcha that's right. Doug

    Good to know!

I figured the shock was pro only so I'll let the shop do that.

Just me, what are your clickers at? I'm about the same weight, so I thought I'd try your setup when I re spring.
Do not send me to a heaven where there are no dogs.

New to this site and I have to completely agree that getting the correct spring rates is the FIRST and best improvement you can make. I had Factory Connection re-valve my fork and shock for MX riding.

I think it's funny that a lot of my buddies will get there suspension "DONE" by RG3 or RACE TECH or Factory Connection and they think it's DONE! THat's just the beginning. I have spent a lot of time testing different suspension settings, compression and rebound settings. There are some great articles online about suspension set ups. I change setting at every track I ride and take notes on conditions and performance. If I can make one suggestion, play with your clickers! Read the articles, and you will find that if you can't afford a revalve at this time, you can do a lot with just the correct spring rates and clicker settings.

Also after riding a semi-supercross track I was noticing that my forks were botteming and actually pushing up through the triple clamps, added 10cc of oil to each fork and a HUGE difference.

So for what it's worth, get the springs right, play with oil levels, I am running 385cc as opposed to a stock setting of 375cc and also keep track of clicker settings and track conditions. I shouldn't matter how good a rider you are, getting your suspension set just right (EACH TIME YOU RIDE) will improve your riding and confidence 100%.

    Riley,
I started off with everything in the center. Then whirled the knobs as needed for the trails I ride on. I don't know (or care) where they are at today, it rides well. I usually only write down where they are when I service them so I can set them back as a starting point. Like sprtsmedx wrote, I adjust them for conditions. They are not static settings. ST, quad track, and jeep road get different settings.
Use only Genuine Interocitor Parts.06 250X Flatlands skid and rad guards. Clarke 3.1 gal tank. Cycra Probends, Rekluse Pro, correct springs. Horn, mirror, brake/tail/license lights and a hanger for the plate. That is all.
