Lsat ride I took a tumble off the trail. It was a good tumble but I mused the rocks mostly. The dirt was super soft and damp. I think it was a slide off. The old trail was at the bottom. Lucky for me, my buddy had some cheap cord in his bag. It was just enough to secure the bike from rolling/sliding back down the hill.
Saved us a lot of work! We couldn't hardly walk on it it was so soft.

excellent tip Riley! yes...rope or what i carry is a towing strap which could handle the job you mentioned but can also tow a bike back to the staging area if necessary.

We used about 25' as we wrapped it around a tree. Ended up just holding it as the snub didn't work out due to materials.
I saw a mention of two small pulleys and cord, but I don't know how much weight vs use that would add. My pack is heavy enough.

yeah...you both would have needed a tow strap to combine for that length.

A spare synthetic winch line for atvs is what to carry. It is easy to carry. It is very lite, not bulky and unbelievably strong if you need it for strength.
