Time to final the location for the 2006 So. Calif. CRF'sOnly Ride. There was a lot of interest in:

    Ocotillo Wells (near Salton Sea)

Looks like the date for the ride will be:

    Saturday, May 27th.

I have been to Stoddard so I would prefer one of the others but would be happy whatever the decision. Not that Stoddard is bad in anyway, just that I like new places :D I voted for Kennedy assuming it will be open by then.

Instigator and I are beating around the idea of teaming up to come down and do this ride. I voted for Kennedy Meadows and know that that is his style of terrain, but anyplace would be great as far as I am concerned. Have the weekend off already. If Kennedey Meadows gets the nod, how long of a loop are we talking? Should I switch back to the X tank or do you think the R tank will hold enough fuel for this trip to the woods. Will definately go with the X tank for any desert outing.

    OLD DUDE

X TANK FOR SURE, BUT I RECOMMEND TO EVERYBODY A DESERT TANK FOR INSURANCE, NO MATTER WHERE WE RIDE.

I've never ridden at Kennedy Meadows. The pictures that guy from KTM Talk posted look great. Stoddard's a lot closer to me and I could bring my toyhauler as a base camp, but I wouldn't mind going to Kennedy Meadows and actually ride in the forest for a change.

location does not matter to me. I have never done any desert riding so the new experience sounds good to me. As long as the date is set. Where ever you guys decide, us Norcal boys will be ready to ride!

Well it looks like Kennedy Meadows is the choice so far.
How do I get there and approx driving time?
