    Fuel Screw brass seat?

    by Scheky » Mon Jan 25, 2021 3:08 pm

My bike has been apart a while. Gunked up green ethanol in the carb. Cleaned before I moved. I remember dropping some parts on the floor. I thought I picked them up, but when cleaning the floor I found this small brass seat? The spring O ring and washer are gone.
I ordered the fuel screw parts kit and some spare jets.
Take a look at the picture. This looks like it might fit up in the carb. It doesn't fit in straight away, but if it belonged there I could probably freeze it. Just kinda weird. It does slide over the fuel screw.

I was just hoping to get some feedback before I try to put it together. Thank you.

Off hand I do not recognize the brass part - but it is not part of your fuel screw assembly. The only thing that goes on or in the fuel adjustment screw port is the spring, o-ring, and a washer between the spring & o-ring is a small flat washer. No brass shoulder spacer.

Thinking about it - could that brass piece be the needle holder?

Could it be part of an anti tamper plug that has been drilled out.

I initially thought a brass rivet.

    Hey Ray,
The anti-tamper plugs are usually aluminum plugs. That looks like to clean of a hole to have been drilled out.
We need to set up a best guess wins ------ wait for it ------- Jim's old bike.... =DD

Anyone know who makes an extended fuel and/or idle adjustment screw for the 38 mm PWK? Id like to be able to adjust both without tools.

If I cant find them Ill probably modify the stockers.

    Thanks
