CRF450X - Carb bowl removal

I've got the 05 pretty much in pieces right now, and about to put it back together. I'm about to pull the bowl off the carb just to have a look and see if it needs any real cleaning.

Should I be aware of anything? I've looked at the diagrams, and I don't see anything to be concerned about. Mainly I'm trying to avoid the situation where I pull the bowl and 5 springs and ball bearings shoot across the garage (all different sizes of course).

I've never been bit by a motorcycle (more of a problem disassembling Holly's and auto trans in cars) - but I don't recall ever meeting a carb with this many circuits either.

Appreciate any warnings

Removing the float bowl is very straight forward. For JIS #2 screws and pulls straight down from the carb body. There will be the float that is hang on a pendulum but will stay in place when the bowl is dropped down or pull up if you have the carb sitting upside down.
If you are going in further you need to do a little research before taking things apart. People are very intimidated by carburetors but they are really quite simple once you understand them.
