Anyone have any experience with these? I've always been easy on equipment and I don't race. Just your average old dude.

Yes, I do. What questions do you have about it?

Without going to the expense of the Core system, how is the longevity affected of the stock clutch components?

Not sure if I'd ever do this, but can the clutch lever be completely removed at some point if desired?

I also like the idea of the left hand rear brake.

My riding will consist of mostly desert with some riding in the mountains between the high desert and the Inland Empire.

The Rekluse EXP 3.0 doesn't affect how he clutch components wear. Some will tell you the fibers and drive plates wear faster but if that's the case for them it's likely due to the Rekluse working for them (slipping the clutch when needed more than their clutch skills allowed).

While I have not removed my clutch perch I don't see a reason it could not be completely removed. I like to have it as there are times when I like to clutch manually (to braap braap to get my riding buddy the "come on...let's go! or to free ride-disengage the clutch).

Many people swear by the left handed brake...especially coming down steep gnarly hills where you have to dab a right foot at times.

We offer the Rekluse with a 30-day no questions asked return. So, really everyone with a dirt bike should try a Rekluse. What I have found is I'm faster in the difficult areas (rutted out hill climbs, trail trash, etc.), can focus on my line, throttle control and just have more enjoyment not having to be concerned with clutching and stalling.

Does the X use the same rear brake kit as the R?

Will the Rekluse R hot start lever work with the X?

Gonna be another month or so before I do this. Taxes are a killer this year without any kids to deduct.

Yes, the X uses the same rear brake kit as the R.

Yes, it's the same hot start lever. However, most X owners just replace the cable/lever with this replacements since the e-start renders the hot start unnecessary for most:
