I've aquired a newly completely rebuilt 2006 CRF450X engine and am wondering what year/s of the CRF450R Chassis (if any) will the 2006 CRF450X Engine readily fit? Thanks - Mike

I know for certain that it will mount into the 05-08 450R, I have the 450X engine in the 08 450R chassis and a riding buddy has one in the 07 450R chassis. The engine will bolt in with no mods but you will need the upper engine mounts for the correct year of the 450R frame that you choose to use.
