Is this possible? One industries makes a really sharp retro cr graphic kit for the r but I have an x lol.

Depending on the design some can be "trimmed" to fit , i run the Limited Edition 2008 450R shroud graphics on my 06 450X but i had to trim them slightly (the 08 LE R had Flame Graphics , i run the same graphics on my 02 450R , so they can "depending on the application layout" be trimmed to fit

Does it look decent when trimmed or some what half assed?

These are my 2 bikes with the same shroud graphic (the Graphic is Factory Honda Limited Edition Tribal Flames) , again , it might depend on the design of the graphic as to weather you can trim it without compromising the design of the image

Again , this is a 06 450X and a 02 450R with 08 450R Limited Edition Graphics, so the shrouds on all 3 bikes are different from each other in bolt placement and shape , but i was able to make the graphics work , this is not always the case , so its not a 100% guarantee it will work in your case , just saying it "can" work with "some" graphics
