High idle after bike runs for a half hour

Any ideas? The bike is all stock. I'm thinking carb. I'm tearing into the carb to install a jd jet kit. Just wondering if I should be looking deeper before playing with jetting?

While in there installing the JD kit replace the floating valve seal if the bike is an older model year. These often flatten out as they age or if they have been "cleaned" with carb cleaner. See our how-to to make sure you get the plate and the seal installed in the correct orientation.

Replace the pilot jet if it's been sitting with fuel in the bowl for any length of time. Check the fuel screw and make sure it's two turns out and adjust from there.

You may also want to replace your needle jet holder. Mfg. #16165-MEB-671

The floating valve seal and re-jet made it an animal! Thanks for the help guys. Also did an air box mod and stock pipe mod! Wow
