2005 CRF450X

I had a 450X years ago, just picked up another one, trying to remember a few things.

Can I use the same oil in the motor & Tranny?
1 qt of oil for tranny side?
Measured amount for motor side?

Synthetic blend or full synthetic?

Yes, full quart in the trans side, measured amount in the crankcase side.

For full syn, blended, dino oil. This has been debated to death. Basically use what you like, just make sure it's bike oil and 10W40. You can run the same in both holes or you can choose to run trans specific oil in the trans. Again do what you feel best about. I run full Amsoil 10W40 in both holes and like it. Have last run Rotella T3 and Rotella T6 in both holes. Never had any issues either way. If you need to feel safe use what the manual recommends.
