Fork info 2005 450X

This past weekend I had a crash during a local H/S and put a dent in my right lower inner fork slider tube it's about 3in above the lower fork axle lug. Question is will other CRF450R fork tubes swap to my "X" or does the "R" models have a different axle offset. Factory part no's indicate only 05-07X models are the same part no. I know they are 47mm tubes but not sure of axle offset between years. Thanks for any advice.
