    2006 CRF450r Forks on 2005 CRF450x?

Hey there, i was wondering if you guys could help me out. Would front forks off of a 2006 CRF450r fit my 2005 CRF450x? I have found a set in my hometown for $100 and the seals are not blown. Would like to know as soon as possible if these would fit. thank you!

    Yes

Are you planning on running the X wheel ??

If your planning on swapping to the R wheel , you will need the R spacers for the Speedo drive side , as they are different on the X wheel

But the forks themselves are a bolt on swap

On a side note , a Honda Seal set , is about $45-$60 , and another $15 for the oil and your done , if you have a shop do it all , it should be about $75 to change seals if you hand them the forks

I actually just picked the forks up. The guy let them go for $65! They're in excellent shape no leaks seals are good. For $65 I think that's a steal and also not a terrible idea to buy them and have a spare set!

Now you do realize that the 450R forks themselves are stiffer , as well as the valving is stiffer , so its not going to ride like it does with the X forks , as the X forks will flex more than the R forks , and the valving is completely different , one is made for Off-Road , and one is made for Track riding

Just so your aware , the ride will be harsher

Oh that doesn't bother me at all. I converted to motard a couple weeks ago and I've always preferred stiffer suspension. Don't know why but I just like the feel better! I'll post a picture of my bike when I get home from work!
