2007 450X with smog delete. Removed carb awhile ago and now reinstalling. Don't remember removing this hose. Comes up from tee on crankcase and hovers near top of carb / valve cover.

I believe that is your crank case vent tube that goes on the top of your valve cover. That tube is the vent for the top end valve area and the "T" is where the transmission vent meets the valve cover vent. Then after the "T" the tube goes down behind the engine. There is a plug in the end of the tube to occasionally drain condensation / oil residue. Seems that I recall a tube being tied to that also to send the crank case fumes back into the air box ?

So look on the top of the valve cover and the air box and I think you will find the open port / nipple.

I figured it went to valve cover but couldn't see a nipple. Will look better. Thanks.

That one doesn't go anywhere. It's a vent tube that is open to atmosphere and tucks behind the CARB next to the frame on the left side. There is another vent tube from the CARB that tucks right next to it. If your bike is stock, then there is a metal clip that's bolted to the top side of the frame that you can see as you look at the top of the CARB, they tuck into that metal clip.

That's what I thought. I do have the small vent in the clip but I stuck the wiring harness in the large "u" part. I'll take another look. Rode today finally. Quick 22 mile ride and no problems.
