First off figure out what spring rate you need. Some brands don't carry some spring rates. I bumped up to .48kg/mm fork springs and I could only source them through Eibach through my work, which i'm not complaining about either. They're pretty much the spring/coil company. I've been told by a couple suspension shops now that Factory Connection is just re-labelled Eibach springs, but who knows... I'm also running a 5.7kg/mm rear shock spring (5.5kg/mm is OEM).
Also, note that different year 450x's came with different fork spring rates... 2005 was .47kg/mm and 2006 was .45kg/mm is what i've found.

the only issue we have ever had with Race Tech is they will at times ship shorter fork springs with plastic spacers. not good in my opinion. the Factory Connection have always been the correct length. we offer both but typically recommend factory connection. we've been told that Eibach makes them for both Race Tech and FC.

Hey Ken, does FC include fork spring pre-load spacers? Really just thick metal washers. Just curious if Eibach is the only one who does.

Race tech sends shorter springs, to get the higher KG rating without having to wind new springs (shorter makes a spring stiffer), and, the R and X have different lengths, and they don't always ship the right ones.
I don't worry about brand, so much as rating...they are all off +/- 10-15% in their ratings....
I've tried Diverse, RachTech, Ebach, Factory conection, and No name brands....without knowing which on is 'better', in the last 11 years.
I currently have RT fronts and Diverse rear.
As long as the sag sets correctly, I don't care.
