Also , you can (as i did) put the wire thru a switch (i used a KTM MAP Switch)that mounts to the bars , you simply run 2 wires from the switch , 1 side goes to the Pink Wire , the other goes to the connector it "was" plugged into , that way when the switch is in one position , it will be as stock , when in the second position it will be in "by-pass" mode
All you need is the switch ,2 lengths of wire to run from the bar to the connector (leaving enough slack for the bars to turn fully) , and a Male and Female Bullet Connector found at any Auto Parts store *Female plugs into Pink wire , Male plugs into the connector where the Pink wire was remove from*
The mod is mostly noticed when you have a aftermarket cam installed (i have a HotCams Stage 1)or even a R cam , what it will do is make the bottom end a little more snappy , and give you 500 more RPM , when i am on a extremely rough trail where throttle control is a must , i switch it to "normal" mode , then for the rest of the ride when i want the bike to be responsive , i switch to "by-pass" mode , the difference is noticeable (when used with a different cam from stock)
