Well it has been confirmed, Kurt Caselli was killed while leading the Baja 1000. Locals set up a booby trap, a pile of refrigerators on the down side of a very fast section. I'm so sick with this. One of the greatest off road racers ever, gone at 30.
We need to pull out of The Baja for good. Some you older guys remember when Danny Hamel wash killed racing there. Such a shame.

Unfortunately, the sad news is true. Kurt died of head trauma. There is speculation his crash occurred as a result of a booby trap. However, this has not been confirmed and without confirmation it would be unwise to pass this along as fact. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Kurt's family and friends. Ride in peace Kurt.

The most recent report is it was not a booby trap but the crash is still under investigation (i also posted this in the General Forum)

Either way , its still a sad day for the dirt bike community , Kurt was a icon !
