Ok, I was not paying attention when I took off my front sprocket and the clymers guide description is not helping me since I purchased a pd front sprocket. Can anyone look at my pics and tell which side goes out?

Just put the widest flange to the inside , what that does is hold the sprocket out farther and keep wider chains from rubbing on the case
