    Boyesen Clutch Cover or Rekluse

    by bigdog100 » Mon Jan 29, 2007 10:21 am

I have an 2006 450x and of course punched a hole in the clutch cover this weekend with brake lever. For $56 less is the Boyesen Clutch Cover as strong as Rekluse?

You think JB will take care of small hole for a while or not worth being stranded?

Do yourself and your wallet a favor and patch that hole with JB Weld. It is cheap and works very well. Most that have done it are still running on the patch. You will do it again, so take the easy way out.

Do a search for JB Weld. You will get quite a few hits. It's used to fix the holes and to block off smog.

Jb weld will hold with no problem. You should put a tube of MSR fast steel in your pack too just in case. Also, shave off a few of those inside brake lever teeth and your problem should be gone.

Good man. Most won't even know that you patched it.

There are some shots on here somehwere and it blends pretty well.
