Where did y'all those cool gps mounts

    by stingraymoto » Mon Jan 29, 2007 8:13 am

I have a Garmin E trex vista. I have seen a few bikes with mounted gps units and I want one. However I am worried about wasting it if I crash so does anyone have any secret mounting place where it is kinda protected.
    Thanks a lot

Leave it at camp. Seriously, I have an older GPS (Garmin GPS12) in a Ram mount http://www.cycoactive.com/ It has taken quite a few hits, but it keeps going. Once, it was actually hit by another bike that clipped me so hard that it lost all of it's stored data. I recommend that you keep any important waypoints written down somewhere, like in a logbook, in case of a similar malfunction, or when changing units.
